Does anybody know if Petr Zelenka's movie "Buttoners" ("Knoflikari") is available on DVD? Where can I order it from the US? Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to track down the music score/recordings that composer Zdenek Liska had composed for a 1978/9 videorecording of "The Little Mermaid" (directed by Tim Reid). I will be grateful for any contact details that will lead me to that music score/recordings. Many thanks!

Hi, I'm looking for someone who might help me to locate the title of a czech film I saw in the 1980's. It was a comedy set in contemporary Prague and featured mythical water sprites. Thanks a million in advance.

just a quick note that (a) i'm still a graduate student, rather than a writer for the independent, but (b) i'm more than game to have a go if offered! by the way, this was a part of my master's thesis back in 1995; iordanova and others have done nice work along these lines more recently. thanks for letting me be a part of the page--it looks like it was a brilliant fest.

I absolutely agree, Loners is a great film and deserves a general release. We will let you all know if/when it happens. In the meantime, keep on checking the News section.

Does anyone know if 'Loners' is ever going to get a release? Love this film to bits & can't believe that it's only been shown a few select times in this country.

We are just finishing work on our third film in Prague - Triple X. Previously we worked on Blade ll and The Bourne Identity. I would like to say a big hello to all the wonderful Czech crew on these movies - what a great team you all are and we look forward to coming back soon! The price of the tickets is subject to individual cinemas. Some of the films screened during the Staropramen Prague On Film festival are available to borrow from the Czech Centre's videolibrary. Please call 020 7291 9920 for more info.

Great page, excellent design and good info about Czech films. I wish they would do something like this hier in Germany, in Regensburg. I would like to see some of the movies because I haven't seen all of them yet. Is Staropramen going to be served during the movies? :)
